The idea was born
The two sports enthusiasts Marco Kraus and Sebastian Czech meet and quickly realize that there are many similar problems in the club area. They want to solve these problems with services and software solutions. The idea of Kairos-Sport was born. At that time still under the name „einfachverein“.
2016
Cooperation with Sportronic
Sebastian Czech quickly came across the company Sportronic GbR from Winnenden while searching for time measuring instruments for the VfL Waiblingen and a cooperation developed quickly in many areas.
Founding
Kairos-Sport UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is founded at the 18th of February 2016.
Expansion of the fields of activity
They quickly developed further ideas and expanded their field of activity into the fields of professional timekeeping and event management. The original idea of the club administration software was quickly abandoned, because a more urgent need was recognized in the time measuring range.
Big events
With the cycle race „Rund um Schönaich“ and the medieval games in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Kairos-Sport took part in two major events immediately after its foundation. Kairos-Sport mainly provided TV/graphics services and live results.
First own event for the result service
In July 2016, the Dragon Boat Cup in Waiblingen will be the first event to commission Kairos-Sport under its own name. For the first time, Kairos-Sport will be holding an event without partner companies.
First own timing event
In winter, the first timing event will take place, which will take place completely under its own name and without partner companies. For the first time, the company now has its own time measuring systems at its disposal.
2017
More and more events decide to commission Kairos-Sport with their events.
German Championships Block
Kairos-Sport helps Sportonic to block the timing of the German Championships in Lage. A great recognition and honor for the Kairos-Sport team.

Kairos-Sport sends postcards to more than 250 events in Germany to publicize its own service.
2018
Development of RFID timing system
Sebastian Czech develops an RFID timing system for running events for his research work at the cooperation company Sportronic GbR.
Macsha
Kairos-Sport starts as distributor for Macsha and distributes their time measuring systems in Germany. Towards the end of the year, the company’s own RFID timing systems are replaced by Macsha systems.
Cooperation with Sportronic ends
The cooperation with the company Sportronic GbR ends. However, the possibility for future cooperation is kept open.
2019
Graduation
In April Sebastian Czech completes his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
A lot of work
Almost every weekend at least one sports event takes place. More and more events with the need for professional services stand in the way of a decreasing number of timekeepers.
End of timing services
Due to the decision to make Kairos-Sport a part-time job, the decision is made to no longer be able to afford the great expense of timekeeping services in the future. The service area of Kairos-Sport has been closed in summer.
Device developer and manufacturer
Kairos-Sport returns to its origins and uses its expertise to manufacture its own timekeeping systems. The first device of its own is the ultrasonic wind gauge Tornado, which works together with all known photofinishing systems. In this procession, Kairos-Sport is also given a new logo and branding to represent the change.
2021
Kairos-Sport Vortex
With the new photo-finish camera, Kairos-Sport has reached a new level and from autumn 2021 will offer a cost-effective and accurate alternative to the established manufacturers.
